We’re looking for an experienced and organised Events Manager to lead the planning and delivery of Graduation ceremonies and celebratory receptions, some of the most memorable moments in the University calendar, as well as support the wider team on other Department events such as Open Days.

In this key role, you will:

  • Take the lead on every aspect of the graduation experience, from detailed operational planning to on-the-day management.
  • Deliver a professional, seamless experience for around 5,000 graduating students and their guests across 麻豆社 Abbey and the 麻豆社 Recreation Ground.
  • Manage suppliers, budgets, logistics, and risk assessments, while briefing senior staff and coordinating internal teams.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Academic Registry, the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, the wider university.
  • Help shape the future of University events by contributing to continuous improvement and early planning for ceremonies beyond 2026.

Graduation is a highlight of the year, celebrating achievement and community. You’ll join a friendly, experienced Events team that also delivers Open Days, Virtual Open Days, public lectures and other University events.

About you

You’ll bring:

  • Significant experience of planning and delivering large, complex or high-profile events, ideally within higher education or a similar environment.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities calmly and effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence when briefing senior stakeholders and managing suppliers or temporary staff.
  • Sensitivity, diplomacy, and a customer-focused approach, ensuring every guest feels valued.
  • The flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends during event periods (with TOIL provided).
  • A degree (or equivalent experience), and proven success managing budgets and event teams, will be essential.

We are looking for someone with applied statistics and high-level communication skills to:

About you

As a graduate with a good first degree in statistics or with high statistical content, you will either have a relevant postgraduate qualification or will have equivalent proven skills as an applied statistician. You may have or be seeking professional membership of the Royal Statistical Society or similar body. Your experience and expertise will include:

  • Extensive knowledge of techniques and technology for data and statistical analysis
  • Experience providing expert statistical guidance, advice or consultancy or of establishing collaborations with colleagues from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds
  • Experience of leading projects, coordinating and developing staff

Your experience providing statistical support to non-specialists will demonstrate your strong communication skills and empathy with those for whom statistics or working with data is unfamiliar or daunting.

We are seeking a highly organised Programmes Officer to support the operational delivery of the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) and associated CPD provision.

About the role

This is a varied and demanding role providing direct support to DClinPsy trainees, the Programme Manager, Clinical and Academic Directors, and others involved in delivering this professional doctorate programme. It supports the coordination of a complex, professionally regulated programme in which trainees are both University students and NHS employees, ensuring effective delivery across teaching, placements, and research in line with University, NHS, and relevant regulatory frameworks.

You will work closely with academic staff, NHS partners, and professional services colleagues, acting as a key operational point of contact to ensure the smooth running of programme processes.

The role includes coordinating delivery across teaching, placements, and assessments; managing trainee progression, records, and compliance; and supporting governance activities such as Boards, Exam Boards, and Fitness to Practise procedures. You will also liaise with NHS partners and external stakeholders, maintain accurate systems and reporting, and provide line management to a Programme Administrator.

About you 

You will have

  • experience in a busy administrative or programme coordination role
  • proven ability to manage complex processes and competing priorities
  • strong organisational, communication, and data management skills
  • the ability to work independently within established frameworks

Experience within higher education, the NHS, or professional training environments would be an advantage.

Role

The Head of Transnational Education (TNE) will play a critical leadership and development role within the University’s growing portfolio of global partners. With the 麻豆社 starting a major phase of TNE development, the post-holder will implement frameworks, processes, and operational capability to launch and sustain high-quality offshore educational provision. This role will have a key responsibility in the set-up and operation of TNE activities, horizon scanning, identifying and articulating risk and managing governance structures, with the strategic direction being set by the University Executive Board (UEB).

The role will involve project management, regulatory and quality assurance knowledge, and partnership development. It requires experience working with offshore university operations, ideally within UK or Australian TNE contexts, and the ability to support senior stakeholders as the University expands its TNE activity. The post holder will manage an allocated budget within the International Relations Office’s overall budget.

About You

  • Demonstrable track record of direct involvement in transnational academic and logistical operations, including oversight of at least one significant project (joint programme, dual award, or branch campus related activity) with an international university
  • Experience of interpreting and applying regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions, including awareness of QAA requirements for TNE, OfS quality and standards, academic governance processes, and student protection considerations
  • Experience of drafting or contributing to legally sensitive documentation such as Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), partnership agreements, and due diligence reports
  • Proven experience supporting or leading the development of policies, frameworks, or governance structures in a higher education context
  • Experience of international market analysis and/or financial modelling for TNE activities

<![CDATA[Transformation Lead (Research Funding) (CC13759)]]> /jobs/rss/click.aspx?ref=CC13759 /jobs/rss/click.aspx?ref=CC13759 We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to take on the role of Transformation Lead in Research & Impact Services at the 麻豆社.

This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving a major transformation of our Research Funding Post-Award service, alongside the implementation of a new research management system (Worktribe).

About the role

You will provide strategic leadership and operational direction to modernise Post-Award processes, ensuring they are efficient, compliant, and fit for the future. With a clear mandate to deliver change at pace, you will assess current ways of working, consider the redesign of processes, and ensure robust controls and governance across the research funding lifecycle.

Working closely with colleagues across the University, you will develop and deliver a comprehensive transformation roadmap. This will include aligning systems and processes ahead of system launch, strengthening collaboration across research finance-related functions, and embedding sustainable, high-quality operating models.

As part of the role, you will:

  • lead a complex, institution-wide transformation programme covering system implementation, process design, and organisational change
  • review and streamline Post-Award processes to improve efficiency and reduce risk
  • establish clear standards, procedures, and governance frameworks
  • provide expert advice to senior leaders on future operating models, risks, and resourcing
  • build capability and resilience within the team through coaching, mentoring, and leadership
  • use data and analysis to inform decisions and continuously improve performance

You will also line manage key team leads and work closely with colleagues across Research & Impact Services, Finance, and system implementation teams to ensure a joined-up and successful transition.

About you

You will bring:

  • a strong understanding of research finance and the regulatory landscape in UK higher education
  • proven experience leading change programmes, ideally involving system implementation or process transformation
  • experience of influencing across large, diverse teams and engaging senior colleagues
  • the ability to interpret and apply complex financial and regulatory requirements with confidence
  • demonstrable experience in building capability and supporting teams through change

You will also demonstrate:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn insight into action
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
  • A strategic attitude, with the ability to balance detail with the wider organisational picture
  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive, delivery-focused approach
  • Confidence to challenge existing practices constructively and drive improvement
  • High levels of integrity, professionalism, and sound judgement

A professional finance qualification or equivalent relevant experience is desirable, as well as experience of audit processes and managing compliance risks. Familiarity with research management systems, particularly Worktribe, and experience using digital tools and data (e.g. Power BI) to support decision-making and service improvement is also preferred.
